ICC released 16 new guidelines – know how can change the form of cricket

No international cricket matches have been played since March due to the Kovid-19 epidemic (Corona virus infection). All cricket events and series have been postponed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, meanwhile the International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued new guidelines to bring cricket back on track. The ICC has asked all member states to follow these guidelines. The new ICC Guidelines are meant to introduce cricket at all levels – community, domestic and international levels. Governments in almost all countries have started loosening the ban caused by Corona, in which case the return of cricket may also happen soon.

The new guidelines have been prepared by the ICC Medical Advisory Committee after interaction with the member medical representatives, whose recommendations are as follows:

1- Appointment of Chief Medical or Bio-Safety Officer to ensure that when the players return to training the government guidelines are followed.

2- Isolation training camp before the match, with 14 days of quarantine before travel with temperature monitoring and Kovid-19 testing.

3- Have a testing plan during practice and matches.

4- Create a safe environment for the respective cricket board cricketers for both training and match venue.

5- All cricketers always maintain a distance of one and a half meter.

6- Sanitization of personal belongings and equipment.

7- Players get ready and reach the field and do not use shared facilities such as showers and changing rooms. 8

8- Medical facilities should be available at every venue in case of match. There should be a facility to call a doctor and have adequate medical staff.

9- Players should have clear guidelines regarding the ball after stopping the use of saliva on the ball.

10- Players should not give their caps, towels or sweaters to umpires in between.

11- Use gloves when handling the umpire ball.

12- All the boards should follow their government guidelines completely for the journey.

13- Use chartered flights and maintain distance.

14- Teams stay in hotels on their floor.

15- Follow the prescribed steps for training.

16- Cricket boards keep their teams big so that the needs can be met at the start of the game.
